winzir Teen Patti — Asia's Favourite Card Game Now Live in the Philippines
From the card tables of Manila's finest clubs to the screens of players in Cebu and Davao, winzir brings Teen Patti to life with real HD-streamed dealers, massive pot limits, and GCash payouts that land in minutes. This is not just a card game — this is a culture.
What Is Teen Patti — and Why Are Filipino Players Obsessed?
Teen Patti — literally "three cards" in Hindi — is a fast-paced card game that traces its roots to South Asia and has spread rapidly through gaming communities across Southeast Asia. If you've ever played poker or sakla at a family gathering in Manila, you'll pick up Teen Patti within minutes. It shares DNA with three-card poker but plays considerably faster and carries its own distinct betting culture.
"Think of Teen Patti as three-card poker's more social, higher-energy Asian cousin — where reading your opponent matters just as much as reading your cards."
The game uses a standard 52-card deck (no jokers). Each player — and the dealer on winzir's live tables — is dealt exactly three cards face-down. Players then bet on whether their hand is stronger than the dealer's, using a specific hand-ranking hierarchy from the highest Trail (three-of-a-kind) down to the lowest High Card hand. The social element is central: you can choose to play "blind" (without looking at your cards) or "seen," each carrying different minimum bet rules.
On winzir, Teen Patti is streamed live from professional studios with trained Filipino and multilingual dealers managing every hand in real time. You see the cards dealt on camera, watch the dealer's expressions, and feel the rhythm of a real table — all from your phone or laptop anywhere in the Philippines.

Teen Patti Hand Rankings — From Best to Worst
There are six possible hand types in Teen Patti. Knowing these cold is the first step to playing confidently at the winzir tables.
Three cards of the same rank. The best possible hand in Teen Patti. Three Aces is the highest Trail; three Twos is the lowest. A Trail beats every other hand combination.
Three consecutive cards of the same suit. A–K–Q is the highest pure sequence; 4–3–2 the lowest. Ranking is determined by the highest card in the run when suits match.
Three consecutive cards not all of the same suit. Still a powerful hand — A–K–Q mixed suits is the highest run. Compare the top card first when two runs clash at the table.
Three cards of the same suit that are not in sequence. Compare the highest card first, then second, then third. A–K–J of spades beats A–K–10 of spades.
Two cards of the same rank. Higher pair wins; if pairs are equal, the kicker (third card) decides the winner. A pair of Aces with a King kicker is the best pair hand.
No combination formed. The hand is ranked by its highest card, then second, then third. Despite being the lowest hand, bluffing from a high-card position is a core Teen Patti skill.
Teen Patti Variants Available on winzir
winzir doesn't offer just one version of Teen Patti. The platform hosts a rotating selection of variants that keep the game fresh for regulars and accessible for newcomers.
Classic Teen Patti
The pure, unadulterated version. Three cards, one boot, simple betting rounds. This is the table for players who learned the game at home or at a friend's barrio fiesta — no gimmicks, just clean card play at winzir.
Beginner FriendlyJoker Teen Patti
Joker cards are shuffled into the deck and act as wild cards — they complete any combination they're placed into. A Joker in hand can transform a High Card into a Trail. Adds a thrilling random element that casual players in Cebu and Manila particularly enjoy.
High ActionMuflis (Lowball)
All hand rankings are flipped — the worst traditional hand becomes the best. The lowest card wins the pot. A High Card hand here is actually the strongest possible holding. Perfect for experienced players who want a complete mental reset of standard strategy.
Expert ModeAK47
Aces, Kings, Fours, and Sevens are all designated as wild cards in this variant. With four denominations acting as wildcards, Trail hands appear far more frequently — leading to explosive showdowns and larger pots at the winzir tables.
Wild Card VariantBest of Four
Each player is dealt four cards instead of three, and must play the best three-card combination possible. The extra card gives more strategic depth — knowing when to play aggressively versus conservatively becomes a much richer decision.
Strategy VariantTeen Patti Live Tournament
winzir hosts regular Teen Patti tournaments where registered players compete across multiple elimination rounds for a guaranteed prize pool. Entry fees start from PHP 100 and tournament jackpots can reach six figures — popular among competitive players in Makati and BGC.

How a Round of Teen Patti Works on winzir
A single hand of Teen Patti on winzir's live tables takes about 60 to 90 seconds from deal to showdown. Here's the exact sequence, step by step.
Boot (Ante) is Posted
Before any cards are dealt, all players at the table must post the boot — a fixed mandatory bet that seeds the pot. On winzir's Classic Lounge II, that's PHP 10; on the Obsidian High Roller table it starts at PHP 5,000. The boot goes to the centre and the pot is live.
Three Cards Are Dealt
The dealer distributes three cards face-down to each player, one at a time going clockwise. No community cards. No flop, turn, or river — just your three cards and the dealer's. You now decide: look at them (play "seen") or keep them face-down and play "blind."
Betting Rounds
Players bet clockwise. A "blind" player bets the current stake; a "seen" player must bet at least double the current stake. You can call (match), raise, or fold at any point. Blind players have a mathematical advantage in that they risk less per round — a key strategic lever in Teen Patti.
Sideshow (Optional)
A "seen" player can request a sideshow with the previous seen player — a private comparison of hands. The losing player folds. This is a tactical move to thin the table before the showdown, often used in mid-stake rounds on winzir to pressure opponents into folding.
Showdown & Winner
When only two players remain, either player can call a "show" for a fixed cost. Both hands are revealed. The higher-ranked hand takes the entire pot. In the event of an identical hand, the player who did not call the show wins. winzir's system auto-determines and pays the winner instantly.
Teen Patti Strategy Tips for Filipino Players
Teen Patti is part skill, part psychology, part calculated risk. These tips won't guarantee wins, but they'll help you play smarter at the winzir tables.
Master the Blind Play
Playing blind forces your opponents (who are "seen") to bet at double your stake to stay in. If you can read the table well and control your emotions, going blind is a legitimate way to apply pressure — especially useful when you're at a conservative table in Manila or Cebu where players tend to fold easily.
Set a Session Bankroll Limit
Before joining any winzir Teen Patti table, decide how much you're willing to risk for that session and treat it as a hard cap. Teen Patti moves fast — boots, call amounts, and pot sizes grow quickly. Without a pre-set limit, it's easy to chase losses past your comfort zone. Responsible play starts with this discipline.
Use Sideshow Tactically
Don't request a sideshow every round — do it when you have a borderline hand and want to eliminate a specific opponent you believe is holding weaker cards. Overusing sideshows reveals your play style to observant opponents at the winzir table and removes the uncertainty that benefits strong hands.
Know When to Fold Early
Folding with a weak hand early is not losing — it's saving your chips for a better hand. New Teen Patti players at winzir often call too many rounds hoping to catch a good hand mid-round. Experienced players fold a High Card hand early, accepting the boot loss rather than compounding with every betting circle.
Start at Low-Stakes Tables
winzir's Classic Lounge II table starts with a PHP 10 boot — ideal for learning the game's rhythm without significant financial risk. Spend your first few sessions here, understand how the betting rounds flow and how other players behave, then move up stakes once you feel genuinely comfortable.
Control Your Tells in Live Play
On winzir's live-streamed tables, your camera is not on — but the pace of your betting actions is. Rapid raises can signal strength; long pauses before a call can signal uncertainty. Experienced opponents read betting timing. Try to maintain a consistent betting rhythm regardless of your hand quality.
Teen Patti Terms Every Player Should Know
New to Teen Patti on winzir? These are the key words you'll hear at the tables. Learn them once and you'll feel at home from your very first hand.
The mandatory ante that every player must contribute to the pot before cards are dealt. Also called the "entry fee" for each round. On winzir, the boot amount varies by table — from PHP 10 on entry-level tables to PHP 5,000 on VIP tables.
A player who has not looked at their cards. A blind player bets at the current stake level (rather than double). Playing blind is a legitimate strategy that puts pressure on "seen" players who must match or raise at double the stake to stay in.
A player who has looked at their cards. Once you look, you become "seen" and must bet at least double the current stake to call. You can never go back to playing blind once you've seen your cards.
A private comparison between two "seen" players. The requesting player pays the current stake and both cards are revealed privately — the weaker hand folds. Can only be requested between two "seen" players, and the previous player can refuse.
When only two players remain, either can pay for a "show" — both hands are revealed and the best hand wins the pot. The show fee is typically double the current stake. If cards are equal, the player who did NOT request the show wins.
Three cards of the same rank — the highest possible hand in Teen Patti. Three Aces is the best possible Trail. If two players both hold a Trail, the higher rank wins (three Kings beats three Tens).
The maximum amount the pot can grow before the table rules force a showdown or limit betting increases. winzir enforces pot limits per table, which are displayed clearly in the room lobby before you buy a seat.
